2 really useful sites – Highrise and Hipmunk

These are the sort of things I love on the web. These 2 sites are completely unrelated, but have one thing in common – they’re seriously useful and user-friendly. Oh, that’s two things.

Highrise

This is a CRM (customer relationship management) platform. What we love about it here at vclever is that 1) it’s incredibly user-friendly and intuitive 2) it saves you time and massively increases your productivity 3) everything is stored securely in the cloud so you or others in your organisation can access it anywhere 4) it plays nicely with others. What do we mean by that last point? Well, it will talk to other applications, which is great for us because it means we can offer clients more integrated solutions. For example, we can put an online registration form on your site that will automatically create a contact and follow-up task for you in Highrise. Or we could do the same with a sales lead. This is the sort of thing we love and believe the web is for! Check out their site – they let you try it out for free for 30 days.

Hipmunk

On a completely different note, Hipmunk is a new flight search engine. Another one? Yes, we know there are loads, but this has a different twist. Invested in by Matt Mullenweg (the fellow behind WordPress), it lets you sort by ‘agony’ which takes into account a lot more than just price. But the main selling point is just its simplicity. A very very simple interface to use and results that show you the time and duration of flights as a graphical representation. Clever, or should we say vclever!

Hope these come in handy. I should point out that vclever is in no way affiliated with either of these sites – we’re just telling you about them because we think they’re cool.
