Meerkat Ambassador Wanted

Meerkovo Ambassador

Aleksandr Orlov – founder of comparethemeerkat.com – is currently on the lookout for a UK ambassador to help raise awareness of the terrible problem facing Meerkovo.

A joke? Well, kind of, but this is actually a serious job up for grabs, which is currently being advertised on Guardian Jobs (click here to open the Guardian ad in another window).

Paying £40k for 6 months of work, they’re looking for ‘a large-brain geniuskat’ to attend big sporting events, manage social media campaigns, and write a regular column in an ‘illustrious Meerkovian newspaper’.  To apply you need  ‘proven in-depth experience of using social media on interweb’ and will have to submit a youtube clip to back up your application.

Although not exactly original (remember the Queensland Tourist board’s ‘Best Job in the World’, which incidentally I did apply for!), this is another great tactic from Compare the Market, who have been massively successful with their Compare the Meerkat integrated campaign – just check out the followers of Aleksandr’s Facebook page.

Right, I’m off to think up ideas for my application.  Let me know if you have any good suggestions! Simples.
