Great Ad: Pepsi Max show how viral is done (and get revenge in the process)

Pepsi Max’s ‘Test Drive’ ad was a huge viral hit, but many called it out as fake. ‘Test Drive 2’ aims to silence the doubters. And one doubter in particular.

Test Drive 2 Ad

Chances are you’ve seen Pepsi Max’s ‘Test Drive’ video, which went viral to the tune of 40m views. A brilliant ad, but many questioned whether it was faked. One car blog writer in particular, Travis Okulski, claimed that Nascar driver Jeff Gordon didn’t even drive the car and that everyone in it was an actor.

Enter Pepsi Max and Jeff Gordon for a sequel, featuring none other than Okulski as its victim. (more…)

When social media attacks – favourite #AskBG tweets

Bert Pijls enduring #AskBG

There are a few basic rules to follow if you represent a brand trying to leverage the power of social media. Chief among them should be Don’t hold a Twitter Q&A session at exactly the same time as you deliver earth-shatteringly bad news to your customers. The must-have accessory for the style (un)conscious

"Ridiculous waistcoat with big pocket"All I can say to this is ‘good grief’! This bizarre item of clothing is the winning entry of a competition run by an accessory manufacturer called Proporta and the London College of Fashion.

CNET wrote, “One moment it’s a hooded waistcoat, and the next you’ll be blowing the minds of all in the vicinity, ripping the item open to reveal your concealed iPad.”

I’m not sure you’ll be so much blowing people’s minds, as making them piss themselves with laughter. If you see any fashion student types being seemingly indiscriminately attacked by muggers, well now you know why.
